A boot loop occurs when Infinix S5 repeatedly restarts or cannot complete startup. This guide starts with the least risky checks and explains when official recovery support is appropriate. Software repair can help in some cases, but repeated restarting can also be caused by a battery, charging, storage, or other hardware problem.
Start with basic checks
- Charge the phone with a known-good charger and cable for at least 30 minutes.
- Disconnect accessories and remove a removable memory card if the manufacturer permits it.
- Try a normal forced restart using the button combination listed in the official manual.
- If the phone becomes hot, smells unusual, or has visible damage, stop using it and seek professional support.
Protect your data and account
Do not attempt account-lock removal or use tools that claim to bypass security. If recovery options are available, read their data-loss warning first. A factory reset can erase local data and may still require the original account during setup.

Use official recovery only
When the basic checks do not help, confirm the full Infinix S5 model code and use the manufacturer update or recovery process designed for that exact variant. Do not install a package intended for a similarly named phone. Keep the device connected throughout an approved recovery process and note any error message shown by the official tool.
Get service when needed
Choose authorized service if the boot loop began after a drop, water exposure, battery issue, failed charging, or repeated recovery failures. A technician can diagnose hardware faults without using unverified software or risking further data loss.
